Refund Policy – Electronics, Labor & Custom Installations

Effective Date: February 2, 2018

1. Electronics Sales

​

All electronic products are eligible for return or refund within 30 calendar days of purchase if the following conditions are met:

  • The item is in new, unused condition

  • All original packaging, accessories, and documentation are included

  • A valid proof of purchase is provided

After 30 days, electronics are considered non-refundable and non-returnable under any circumstances.

2. Labor Services

​

All labor services (installation, diagnostics, cabling, configuration, etc.) are covered by a 30-day workmanship satisfaction guarantee. If any issue is proven to result from our workmanship within this period, we will correct it at no additional charge.

After 30 days, labor is considered final and non-refundable. Additional work will be quoted and billed as a new service.

3. Custom Installations & Modifications

​

If the customer requests or approves customization or modification of any equipment (e.g., painting cameras, labeling devices, altering enclosures):

  • No refunds or exchanges will be issued

  • Manufacturers will not accept altered items

  • Custom equipment cannot be resold by us

All custom equipment is permanently non-refundable and non-returnable.

4. Customer Communication & Access

​

To remain eligible for any service correction or resolution:

  • Customers must maintain consistent communication

  • Customers must allow us reasonable access to inspect and correct any issues

  • Failure to communicate or refusal to allow access voids all support guarantees, warranties, or refund claims

5. Proof of Issue Requirement

​

All refund or service claims must include reasonable proof of issue, such as:

  • Clear photos or videos

  • Description of symptoms or errors

  • Direct access for physical inspection

Claims made without evidence may be denied at our discretion.

6. Shipping & Handling Responsibility

​

Customers are responsible for shipping and handling costs when returning or sending items for service. Nerdy Nerdz LLC is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen goods during transit.

7. Restocking Fee

​

If a return is approved within the eligible 30-day period, a 15% restocking fee will be applied to cover inspection, repackaging, and administrative processing.

​

8. Warranty Disclaimer

​

Nerdy Nerdz LLC does not extend or replace manufacturer warranties.
All warranty claims must be submitted directly to the product manufacturer. We may assist with documentation, but the final decision lies with the manufacturer.

9. Service Abandonment

​

If the customer fails to respond to communication attempts or is absent for scheduled service without providing at least 24 hours’ notice, the job will be marked as abandoned. No refund or rescheduling credit will be issued.

10. Non-Transferable Guarantee

​

All warranties, guarantees, and service policies are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser listed on the invoice.

11. Third-Party Equipment Disclaimer

​

Nerdy Nerdz LLC is not responsible for:

  • Issues caused by equipment or software not supplied or installed by us

  • Failures due to third-party systems or networks

​

12. Force Majeure

​

We are not liable for delays, damages, or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including:

  • Natural disasters

  • Government regulations

  • Shortages in supply or labor

  • Acts of God

​

13. Legal Jurisdiction

​

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes must be handled in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.

14. Digital Agreement Consent

​

By making a purchase, accepting a quote, submitting payment, or scheduling service through this website or other digital methods, the customer agrees to all terms of this policy without the need for a physical signature.

15. Non-Refundable Deposits

​

All deposits made for equipment reservations, labor, or appointment scheduling are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

16. Chargeback Protection

​

Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks after goods or services have been delivered will be treated as fraud. Nerdy Nerdz LLC reserves the right to pursue legal action or involve a collections agency.

17. Privacy Assurance

​

We take your privacy seriously. Any information provided to Nerdy Nerdz LLC is securely stored and never shared or sold. We use customer data only for internal record-keeping, scheduling, and warranty tracking.
